1. Rehearsal on 22nd October with Katherine Dienes-Williams
As announced by Daniel last Thursday, our rehearsal this week will be taken by our Director of Music designate, Katherine Dienes-Williams. She will be leading the choir in a workshop focusing on Duruflé’s Requiem. This will be a great opportunity to start to get to know Katherine and for her to have an initial experience of working with the choir. We have secured nearly 90 copies of the music, but please bring your own copy if you have one. Please come early if you require to collect a copy.
2. Tickets for Post Christmas Concert Reception and Farewell to Andy
Tickets are now available at a price of £15.00 pp for the post-concert drinks reception at the Wessex Hotel on Saturday 5th December. This is our way of saying thank you to Andy and wishing him a fond farewell after nearly 25 years with the choir. Please use this link to purchase:

No more than two tickets please per choir member. You will receive an email receipt; you do not need to print it off as we will have a master list of guests attending.
3. Half Term Break
Just a reminder that there will be no rehearsal on the 29th October. Usual service to resume on Thursday 5th November when we shall also be welcoming Andy back from his travels Down Under.
Over half term please don’t forget to get out and about with your posters and flyers!
4. Thank You
Many thanks to George and Andy Hayman for so ably taking the rehearsals this half of term. We are so lucky to have such talented subs at hand.
5. Choir AGM 12th November 2026
You are all invited, nay encouraged, to come to our AGM on 12th November. As usual it will take place after a first half rehearsal and light refreshments (ably supplied by S1 this year).
This is your chance to listen to what has happened over the past year, what might be being planned in the future and also, should you wish to, have your say. Also this is Andy’s last AGM……
You will notice from the meeting notes that we have a number of openings on the committee and we are very keen to enrol new people with new ideas. you don’t have to have been in the choir for years. It doesn’t have to take up much of your time. Usually 3 meetings a year with other communication via WhatsApp or email.
Please give it some thought.
