Running a choir is a wonderful but costly thing to do, and we survive off the generosity and support of our ‘Friends of Waynflete Singers’.

 

To the Waynflete Singers, your donations are a lifeline. To a thriving business it's a unique opportunity to secure the future of Britain's choral heritage while delivering a cost effective corporate message to some 200 performers (including instrumentalists), an audience of around 700 and thousands of people living throughout the south of England.

    Our funding challenge

    Promoting first class concerts is an increasingly expensive undertaking. Ticket sales alone do not cover all the overheads, which include the expenses of hiring an orchestra and soloists, hiring the Cathedral and marketing costs.

    You can help by becoming a Friend of The Waynflete Singers. Our Friends scheme plays a critical role in helping to bridge the funding gap.

    Bronze membership: £45

    • Priority booking for all Waynflete Singers promoted concerts

    • A free concert programme

    • A pre-concert talk and drinks reception before one of the Waynflete season’s Cathedral concerts

    The Singers enjoy valuable associations with a network of community and business leaders in an around Winchester. As a result the choir seeks to involve the wider business community at all levels, offering tailor-made packages designed to meet the specific marketing objectives of each individual sponsor.
