Bach’s Christmas Oratorio

Celebrate the joy and wonder of the Christmas season with JS Bach’s uplifting Christmas Oratorio. This glorious work tells the story of the Nativity through jubilant choruses, lyrical arias and exquisite orchestral colour. A dazzling work that captures the spirit of Christmas, with triumphant baroque trumpets through to moments of exquisite stillness.

We are delighted to work again with baroque ensemble Florilegium and a fabulous line up of soloists.

This is Andrew Lumsden’s final concert with the Waynflete Singers and is bound to be a stirring occasion.
